On my way to Lake Tahoe, I pulled over on the side of the highway to snap this one of Mt. Whitney. The sunset behind the mountain range was gorgeous and it was worth the detour. I took 3 photos to produce this HDR shot. Mount Whitney is the highest summit in the contiguous United States and the Sierra Nevada, with an elevation of 14,505 feet.
